A few minutes of brushing a few times each week prevents tangles and keeps the coat soft between professional grooms.
Brushing is the single easiest thing you can do for your dog's coat. A few minutes a few times each week prevents tangles before they form, distributes natural oils across the coat, and removes loose hair that would otherwise end up on your sofa.
Work in sections and always brush in the direction the coat grows. Pay extra attention to the areas that mat first: behind the ears, under the front legs, around the collar, and along the tail. If you find a mat, work it loose gradually with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb rather than pulling through it with a slicker brush.
